Umrah visa from Canada

Going for Umrah with one of our groups, or organizing your own trip? Voyages Classy Travel prepares your Umrah visa either way: it is part of every Umrah departure we organize, and we also handle it on its own when your flights and hotels are booked elsewhere. An authorized agent of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Canada, based in Montreal since 2005, we serve pilgrims from across the country.

Who is the Umrah visa for?

The Umrah visa is for Muslims travelling to Makkah and Madinah to perform Umrah. If you join one of our Umrah groups, the visa is handled in-house with the rest of your trip: no online forms to fill in alone, no file to follow up yourself. More than 1,000 pilgrims have already travelled with us.

If you prefer to travel on your own, we handle the Umrah visa alone: you book your flights and hotels where you like, and we take care of the visa. We can also build a custom package around your dates, with the visa included. We are a travel agency first, so flights, hotels and visa can all come from the same team.

Hajj is a separate process that goes through the official Nusuk platform and is not covered on this page; for Hajj 2027, see our Hajj registration page.

Documents for your Umrah visa

Here is what we ask for. Your passport comes first: send a clear colour copy of the identity page, and check its validity before you book, since the Government of Canada states that a Canadian passport must be valid for at least six months from the date you enter Saudi Arabia. If you are not a Canadian citizen, add your proof of status in Canada. A recent photo, your flight reservation and your hotel reservations in Makkah and Madinah complete the application; for a group departure, those reservations are part of the trip we prepare with you.

This list can change with current Saudi rules; our team confirms the exact list for your file.

How your Umrah visa application works

  1. 1

    Choose how you travel

Book your seat in one of our Umrah groups departing from Montreal, or tell us about the trip you are organizing yourself. Either way, the visa is ours to prepare.

  2. 2

    Send your documents

You send us your passport copy, your photo, your reservations and the requested information, in person at the office or by mail if you live elsewhere in Canada.

  3. 3

    File review

Our team checks every document before submission: passport validity, photo compliance, matching names and dates.

  4. 4

We take care of the application

Our team takes care of your visa application and follows it up until the decision.

  5. 5

    Decision and departure preparation

The decision belongs to the Saudi authorities. As soon as it is made, we let you know and walk you through the next steps before departure.

Who decides, and when

The Umrah visa is issued at the discretion of the Saudi authorities. No agency can promise a date or a decision, and we do not publish timelines: each application is examined on its own.

For a group departure, we plan the applications around the departure date, and the sooner we have your documents, the calmer the preparation. If you travel on your own, wait for the visa before locking in anything that cannot be changed.

Pilgrims from across Canada

Our groups depart from Montreal, but our pilgrims come from Montréal, Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke, Ottawa, Toronto, the rest of Ontario and anywhere in Canada. You don’t need to travel for the visa: your documents can be sent to us by mail, and before you send anything we tell you what to send and in what form. If you are in the Montreal area, you can also bring them to our office at 150, boulevard Côte-Vertu Ouest, bureau 201, Montréal (Québec) H4N 1C6, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We serve you in French, English and Arabic.

Umrah visa FAQ

Is the visa part of your Umrah departures?

Yes. For our Umrah groups, the visa is part of organizing the trip and our team handles it in-house. What each departure includes is set out on its package page, and we confirm it when you register.

Can I get an Umrah visa without buying one of your packages?

Yes. If your flights and hotels are already booked elsewhere, we handle the Umrah visa on its own. Send us your passport copy, photo and reservations, and we take care of the application. If you would rather have everything from one team, we can also build a custom package around your dates, visa included.

Can I perform Umrah on a tourist visa?

According to the Government of Canada and Visit Saudi, Muslims can perform Umrah with any type of visa; Visit Saudi adds that you must then book your Umrah appointment on the official Nusuk platform. Travelling on your own or with one of our groups: we help you choose the visa that fits your trip.

Do I need vaccinations for Umrah?

The Government of Canada notes vaccination entry requirements for travellers coming to perform Umrah, including polio, meningococcal meningitis and yellow fever, and refers to the health requirements published on Nusuk. See a health care professional before you leave.

Can you guarantee that my visa will be approved?

No. No agency can guarantee a visa: the decision belongs solely to the Saudi authorities. Our role is to help you submit a complete and accurate file.
