Saudi business visa from Canada
Meetings, conferences, client visits or a trade delegation: a short professional trip to Saudi Arabia needs a business visa. It starts with an invitation from a Saudi company you do business with. In Canada, Voyages Classy Travel, an authorized agent of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Canada, prepares and submits your application, anywhere in the country.

Who is the Saudi business visa for?
This visa is for people in managerial positions who have a business relationship with a company or institution in Saudi Arabia. According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi company or institution requests the visit, for one or more people in managerial positions who have a business relationship with it.
The Government of Canada notes that a business visa is required for this kind of trip. The business visa is for short visits: to take up a job in Saudi Arabia you need a work visa, and to explore an investment project, see the investor visa.
Documents to prepare
The file combines the Saudi invitation with documents from your side. Your partner in Saudi Arabia provides the invitation or visa authorization and its company's commercial registration. Your company in Canada provides a letter introducing you and the business purpose of the trip, along with its own registration documents. You add your application form, your photo and, when required, your passport, and, if you are not a Canadian citizen, your proof of status in Canada. The list below is the one we use; we confirm it for your file before you send anything.
Documents usually requested
- Invitation letter from Saudi host
- Employer support letter
- Passport and photo
- Business itinerary
This list can change: we confirm the exact documents and their format for your file before you send anything.
The steps, from the invitation to your visa
- 1
Your Saudi partner issues the invitation
The company or institution hosting you fills in the business visit request on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform; according to the Ministry, the form must be stamped by the chamber of commerce. This step happens in Saudi Arabia, by your host.
- 2
You send us the invitation
Send us the approved invitation and your travel dates. We check that it matches your situation.
- 3
Your company prepares its letter
We tell you what the letter from your Canadian company must contain and how to have it certified, if needed.
- 4
We complete the file
Bring your documents to the office or mail them. We check every document and fill in the application with you.
- 5
Submission and follow-up
As an authorized agent of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Canada, we submit your file through the proper channel and follow up on it. The decision belongs to the Saudi authorities.
- 6
You receive your visa
As soon as the decision is made, we let you know and send you your visa. We also return your documents in the way agreed with you.
Who decides, and when
The visa is issued at the discretion of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia. No agency can promise a date or a decision, and we do not publish timelines: each file is examined on its own by the Saudi authorities.
What we control is the quality of the file: complete, consistent and submitted the way it is expected. For a meeting or trade show on a fixed date, start early and avoid non-refundable tickets until the visa is in your passport.
Anywhere in Canada, by mail
Our clients come from Montréal, Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke, Ottawa, Toronto, the rest of Ontario and anywhere else in Canada: you can send us your documents by mail. We first tell you what to send and how your documents will come back to you.
Saudi business visa: frequently asked questions
How should my name appear in the invitation?
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for a visitor of non-Arab nationality, the name in the request must match the passport exactly. Send your Saudi host a copy of your passport before they file the request.
I’m travelling with colleagues. How does that work?
The Saudi company can request the visit for one or more people. Each traveller provides their own documents, and we can coordinate the files for the whole delegation.
Business visa or work visa: which one do I need?
The business visa is for short visits: meetings, conferences, client meetings. If you are going to take up a job in Saudi Arabia, you need a work visa, which your Saudi employer starts.
I live outside Quebec. Can you help me?
Yes. Our visa service covers all of Canada: you send us your documents by mail, and we follow your file with you by phone or email.
Can you guarantee that the visa will be granted?
No. Nobody can: the decision belongs to the Saudi authorities. Our role is to submit a complete, compliant file so that a missing document doesn’t hold you up.
