Who is the student visa for?
This visa is for students who will study at an institution in Saudi Arabia. According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is the educational institution in the Kingdom that requests the study visa for a student living abroad, and an approval letter from the Ministry of Education is required. The Ministry of Education adds that to obtain a study visa from a Saudi embassy, applicants must hold a scholarship from a Saudi university. In other words, you do not start alone: your admission comes first.
Saudi public universities offer scholarships to international students. The Ministry of Education explains that you can apply through the universities during their application periods, or through the Saudi cultural attaché in your country. It also sets conditions, including age limits that depend on the level of study and diplomas certified by the competent authorities. Its official page lists them in detail.
Once in Saudi Arabia, according to the Ministry of Education, scholarship students can obtain a residence permit for the length of their studies with a letter from their university. Your university will guide you through that step.
Documents for a Saudi student visa
The list below shows the documents usually requested for a student file. They prove your admission (university or scholarship letter), your studies so far (diplomas and transcripts), your health (medical documents) and your identity. Diplomas issued in Canada may need to be authenticated before they are accepted in Saudi Arabia: we tell you which steps apply to your documents. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your arrival date.

Some documents take time, such as authenticating diplomas or medical tests. We help you plan them early.

Submission and follow-up
As an authorized agent of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Canada, we submit your file through the proper channel and follow up on it. The decision belongs to the Saudi authorities.
Who decides, and when
The visa is issued at the discretion of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia. No agency can promise a date or a decision, and we do not publish timelines: each file is examined on its own by the Saudi authorities.
What we control is the quality of the file: complete, consistent and submitted the way it is expected. Start as soon as you receive your admission, so that the documents to authenticate are ready well before classes begin.
Anywhere in Canada
Whether you live in Quebec or anywhere else in Canada, you can mail your documents to our Montreal office. We confirm what to send and how before you ship anything.
Our team can help you in French, English or Arabic.
Questions about the student visa
Can I apply for a student visa without being admitted?
No. According to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request comes from the educational institution in Saudi Arabia, with an approval letter from the Ministry of Education. Start with your admission or scholarship.
Can I hold two scholarships in Saudi Arabia?
No. Among its conditions, the Ministry of Education states that the student must not already have received another scholarship from an institution in the Kingdom. Its official page lists all the conditions.
Do my Canadian diplomas need to be authenticated?
The Ministry of Education asks that certificates and supporting documents be attested by the authorities specified by the educational institution. The steps also depend on where your diplomas were issued: we tell you what applies.
Do I need a criminal record certificate?
For scholarship students, the Ministry of Education asks for a certificate of no criminal record from the security services of the home country. We tell you whether it applies to your file and how to get it in Canada.
Can you guarantee the visa?
No one can: the decision belongs to the Saudi authorities. Our role is to help you submit a complete and consistent file, which avoids the most common delays.
